I am grateful to be selected as a winner of Bromfield Gallery’s SOLO 2017 competition. This year, 99 entries were juried by Sarah Montross, Associate Curator at deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum.

In my paintings, colors are layered, and marks gather over repeating patterns of circles and squares. My process allows me to explore the relationship of part to whole, individual to group, species to biosphere, galaxy to universe, and universe to multiverse as I move between personal, microscopic and macroscopic perspectives.

Physical experience intermingles with intangible ideas, world events, literature, and dreams. Narratives spin, metaphors collide, emotions shift, and all is connected, each little piece to the other.  These accumulate to offer mutable moments of perception.
