A process of growth

I’ve started working on the piece for the AIB MFA Alumni exhibit OBJECTIFIED. Simply, I am making an invisible (but powerful) social network into and object… This follows the same basic structure as the networks in Remember Forget & Remember Again but has the addition of “nodes” at each branching. The nodes are yarn-wrapped pebbles, which is giving the growing piece an interesting heft. I am also interested in seeing what happens when I limit myself to fewer colors and a more subdued palette. Inner Garden a collaborative exploration of growth and connection Mary Begin, Denise Driscoll, and Mirela Sahleanu Babson College Working in Reynolds Student Center across several months, the artists share materials, forms and processes as they explore patterns of growth and connection.
