Here’s a quick look at work-in-progress for Remember Forget & Remember Again which will be shown in Marran Gallery at Lesley University from September 4 to October 7, 2012. I’m working with string, yarn, bits of glass and poured plaster to create a meditation on the often elusive and sometimes obvious connections between neural networks, maps of the Internet, mythologies like Indra’s Web and the possibility of parallel universes.
Marran GalleryLesley University Swarm Intelligence produces their third collaborative drawing event for the Lesley University 2012 Alumni Weekend. The drawing takes place on 100 contiguous squares of paper that are separated and grouped for exhibit once the drawing is complete. Participating artists include Carol Mordecai Myers, Lynda Schlosberg, Jeffery Ellse and Denise Driscoll.

Inner Garden a collaborative exploration of growth and connection Mary Begin, Denise Driscoll, and Mirela Sahleanu Babson College Working in Reynolds Student Center across several months, the artists share materials, forms and processes as they explore patterns of growth and connection. Beginning in late January 2010, work will begin to appear in various locations in the Horn Library and will continue to expand across the semester. Sculpture and Poetry students in Danielle Krcmar’s and Mary Pinard’s classes will collaborate with the artists and each other to develop visual and written contributions of their own. Digital Natives: mapping social connection through collaborative printmaking Denise Driscoll, Doug Lack and the students in Art I Using glue, string, boards and miscellaneous cans of latex paint, students work with Denise Driscoll and Doug Lack to develop diagrams of contemporary communication networks. The collographs become printing plates which reveal both the order and the chaos in our daily lives.
