Nest began with discarded hall passes, school announcements and de-commissioned text books rummaged from Holliston High School’s recycling bins. Working with Doug Lack’s Art I class, paper and books were shredded and display cases were upended and painted to become inviting nesting boxes. Hall passes were glued and sewn together to make blankets and tents. For a few weeks, Nest turned the newly-built gallery into an active, social, unexpected space. Learn more on our project blog.
